Yesterday I shared with you about a very hard time in my life when I needed to know God was actually with me through it all. If you missed it you can read it here.
Later in the morning I had my child read one of her devotionals out loud in the car as we drove to school. I was floored that it had everything to do with my post I had just written and then my friend Lysa wrote in her blog about the same thing….I think God is trying to remind me in a strong way that He is near and that He works all things according to His riches and glory!
This is what the kid’s devotional said….
“God is the one who saves me. I trust him. I am not afraid.” – Isaiah 12:2
Did you know that you are on a treasure hunt? It’s not a hunt for a prize, a bag of candy or even a pirate’s chest full of gold. It’s a hunt for Me. I am the Treasure. I’ve given you the map of My Holy Word to follow, and I’ve given you My Spirit to guide you.
The road you must take is not an easy one, but the Treasure is worth it! All along the way, I’m waiting to give you jewels of blessings. Hardships are part of the journey too – just as they are with any great adventure. But don’t be afraid; I’m with you. I will give you strength, and I will fill your heart with a joy that will make you sing. And at the end of your journey is the greatest treasure of all eternity with Me!
Isn’t that amazing! I just love it when God speaks!
My favorite part is “All along the way, I’m waiting to give you jewels of blessings. Hardships are part of the journey too – just as they are with any great adventure.” By enduring hardships we are heaping blessings from God in our lap. We may not see it now but we will later. It is promised!
Galatians 6:9 “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”
Praise God! Thank you Jesus for this good ole’ hanging on scripture!!
Ok…today’s songs is my absolute favorite “put your praise Dancing shoes on kind of song!” My girls and I love us some Mandisa! It is not rare to see us all dancing with the music turned up LOUD to this song! Oh How true Deliverance is! (If you don’t have this song – treat yourself to download it off of iTunes! )
On another note… this week on the Made to Crave webcast Mandisa was Lysa’s guest! She has read the Made to Crave book and learning how to crave God instead of food. Her journey is amazing! She was so inspiring to me. She also has another song that is coming out called “Stronger”… blew me out of the water! We had CHURCH where I was watching her perform it! 🙂
