God Has A Plan

My presence will never leave you

God is good…and He has a plan.

Waiting to see how God is going to move in our life is something I have grown accustom to doing. To get in a hurry, just seems to prolong the waiting for “said” event to occur.

Many times, I think I have even missed the event.

God never misses it. He never lets me miss it either. He is bigger than that.

He is always on time.

We have had an incredible time of being with family and friends during this Christmas and New Year time. It was a time that was much-needed by each of us.

We felt normal…even though we have realized life sometimes is not.

As with many people out there, some days are good and some days are hard. We all have them.

It is in the hard times that we question the plan…God’s plan.

With a new year starting…for which I am so grateful for, I feel my Father’s hand gently holding my hand reminding me that He has a plan.

Guess what? He says in His Word…that He has a plan for you too.

Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope”

I have studied this verse and know the back ground on it too. You see, the reality of this particular scripture is that the captives went on to have another 70 years in captivity. Not so encouraging huh?!

But God showed me the great wisdom this morning in studying the verses around this one too. Especially those in verses 12-14.

“In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. I will be found by you,” says the Lord. “I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes. I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you and will bring you home again to your own land.”

As I was studying this particular scripture this morning, my devotional also hit home.

“Keep your eyes on Me! I am with you taking care of you in the best possible way. When you are suffering, My care may seem imperfect and inadequate. You seek relief and I make you wait. Just remember: There are many different ways to wait, and some are much better than others. Beneficial waiting involves looking to Me continually – trusting and loving Me.
Thank Me for this time of neediness, when you must depend on Me more than usual. Do not waste this opportunity by wishing it away. Trust that I know what I’m doing – that I can bring good out of everything you encounter, everything you endure. Don’t let you past suffering contaminate your view of the future. I am the Lord of your future, and I have good things in store for you. I alone know the things I am planning for you – to give you a future and a hope.” – Jesus Today by Sarah Young

I pray this video encourages you as you step into 2013 too. There is a hope and a plan. What powerful words the scriptures hold!
