The Great “I AM”

“God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.” Ephesians 3:20 – MSG

We are standing strong on this verse right now.

Friday around 1pm CST, Kevin will go into surgery for the Orchiectomy. It will be done in outpatient and we hope to be back at the apartment recovering for the rest of the weekend. Prayers needed for peace, healing, and comfort.

For the last several days, we have been surrounded by the same theme…knowing The Great I AM.

I listened a podcast that is SO worth spending time watching HERE. It is by Judah Smith from City Church Seattle. {We first were introduced to Judah through Catalyst Conference 2011.} We have actually liked this one so much we have listened to it 3 times in the last 3 days!

It has pumped me up even more than before in believing that God is still in the miracle-working business! The Great I AM is the God of NOW…today!

The theme just kept coming back up today when I got a card from a friend that said the following…

“Keep your eyes on the Master. If the Master isn’t freaking out then neither should you!”

Here is some light Bible reading that I will be doing tomorrow during our wait time during surgery.

I Am the way and the truth and the Life….John 14:6
I Am forever faithful…Psalm 146:6
I Am the one who will not leave you…John 14:18
I Am with you…Isaiah 41:10
I Am holding you…Psalm 73:23
I Am your hiding place…Psalm 32:7
I Am the one who cares for you…1 Peter 5:7
I Am near to all who call…Psalm 145:18-19
I Am your refuge and strength…Psalm 46:1
I Am Good…Nahum 1:7
I Am your stronghold…Psalm 9:9-10

My friend Jeannie Pallett wrote this on her blog today:

“Come. Come let me be your refuge and shield. Come, for I am faithful and true. I am the Living Hope, I am the Word made flesh. I AM. Put your hope and trust in me.
Run to me and I will enable you to keep my word because first, I keep you. I keep you under the shelter of my wings, I keep you in my heart and I keep you in my love. I keep you and watch over your every move; my eye is ever upon you. I keep you in order to sustain you and bring fullness of life to you as you walk through lands of plenty and worlds at war. Your heart shall be balanced. I keep you so you are able to stand strong and secure in your day of trouble.”

God is just around every corner out here in Texas! He never leaves us nor forsakes us!

I want to share with you a song that another friend sent to me today….new to me…but awesome!
Let the words soak in first…

“Marvelous, wonderful, infinite God
Author of all that is good
Faithful provider and giver of life
Source of all power and love
Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise
Refuge of strength to the end
Righteous redeemer and mighty to save
He’s the Anchor of Hope for the souls of men
Gracious, compassionate, merciful God
Radiant, holy delight
Beautiful Father, victorious Son
Source of unchangeable light
Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise
Refuge of strength to the end
Righteous redeemer and mighty to save
He’s the Anchor of Hope for the souls of men
You are light in the dark
You are healing for the broken heart
You are hope, you are Lord,
You are life, you are love that endures
Powerful, constant, unwavering God
Shepherd who comes for the lost
Rock of salvation, remarkable love
Savior who died on the Cross
Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise
Refuge of strength to the end
Righteous redeemer and mighty to save
He’s the Anchor of Hope for the souls of men”

Praise the Lord He is our Anchor of Hope…is He yours?

We love you friends! Thank you so much for lifting us up in your prayers!

James 5:17 “The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.”
