Christmas in July!

My Jesus Calling for today read:
“Let me show you My way for you this day. I guide you continually, so you can relax and enjoy My Presence in the present. Living well is both a discipline and an art. Concentrate on staying close to Me, the divine Artist. Discipline your thought to trust Me as I work My ways in your life. Pray about everything; then, leave out-comes up to Me. Do not fear My will, for through it I accomplish what is best for you. Take a deep breath and dive into the depth of absolute trust in Me. Underneath are the ever-lasting arms!”

I am so glad that Jesus is on this journey with us. I can truly say that Kevin and I are feeling the Peace that passes all understanding….like we should…however, by the world’s standards, we would be walking in fear, anxiety, anguish and defeat. Not with My Jesus!

We had Christmas this weekend! I know many of you are preparing for the Fourth of July this week but we had Christmas! Our friends arrived Saturday bearing LOTS of gifts from our friends and family back home. Needless to say, we were overwhelmed at the LOVE!

Our friends surprised even our family with shirts that they had made up to remind us of the incredible works that we have shared with you guys through this blog. My girls are sporting them here.

“God’s Got This!”

I became another puddle in the parking lot as I saw my friends get out of their car with these shirts on. My family and Kevin’s family has their own too. We now have pictures to hang in the hospital room and apartment to remind us of those at home that are fighting for us too with Prayer.

The words on the t-shirt are symbols to remind us of His works that God has done already. If you have been on this journey with us for any length of time, then you will relate to many of these powerful reminders. They are the rocks that we are hanging onto today as we walk through those hospital doors for round #2 of Chemo.

Thank you just isn’t enough for all of you that are giving so selflessly to our family. We see it as the way God just lavishes His love onto us just because we are His children.

  1. I want a shirt!!!! I love it!!!!! God has heard your prayers for things that you would consider beyond your realm of responsibility, and he sees and respond to your faith. Watch and be amazed at the answer to your prayer. You have reached higher and further than you ever thought possible…. I can hear he say ” I am well pleased with your desire to go higher in spiritual understanding and to exercise your faith on that level. Well done, My beloved servant, says the Lord. Matthew 25:23 “His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’”
What an AMAZING GOD WE SERVE….. Merry Christmas!!!!!! Love you Sister;)

  4. Amy, Chanda and I want a t-shirt! Those are AWESOME! I wanted to tell you about a great teaching I heard the other day. Your blog from a couple of days ago reminded me of it. We have breakthrough in one of two ways, one through violent force (Matt 11: 12) and the other is through inheritance (Mark 10:14). Claiming our inheritance requires us to be still and claim our promises! You can pursuivant google the teaching….Bill Johnson at a 2011 conference with Randy Clark. Excellent!
Love you two, Shannon S. Bennett

  5. Just an idea…I’d love a shirt, too, and would expect others to (though a more generalized version might be more widely appealing). What about a t-shirt sale? There are bound to be some expenses (or a charity) the money could help cover?

God bless you for sharing your journey.

  6. Hey Amy and Kevin… Just learned what’s going on in yall’s life… I am joining up and sending prayers for your family!!

  7. Amy, Kevin and your three Princesses,
We’re still praying for you! It’s being nice reading your updates and I don’t know if it was a coincidence but when I read this post my son was watching a Christmas son video, so Merry Christmas! God Bless you all in His Divine Will!
