“When the servant of the man of God rose early in the morning and went out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was all around the city. And the servant said, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” He said, “Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” Then Elisha prayed and said, “O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see.” So the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.” 2 Kings 6:15-17
I have talked alot about the invisible world that we are seeing. This is what we want to receive revelation on.
The other morning we were directed to a verse that spoke directly to our hearts. It confirmed in our spirits what God was telling us all along.
It was the above scripture. A friend of mine encouraged me to go deeper with this. So I read the commentary in my “New Spirit-Filled Bible” that Kevin and I love! Here is what it said…
The Invisible Realm and Victorious Warfare.
Faith’s Warfare. To believe the impossible one must first see the invisible – the lesson Elisha taught his servant. The text involves war between Israel and Syria, and the prophet Elisha’s informing his people of the enemy’s tactics through prophetic insight (v 12). Here is the lesson: Prayer is the key to discerning our adversary’s stratagems. Further, the key to dispelling Elisha’s servant’s panic {which I have felt recently} was his vision being opened to see the invisible. Note these crucial words: “Elisha prayed”! Elisha did not ask God simply to show the servant another miracle; He asked for his servant to see into another dimension. The answer came immediately: “The Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.” (v 17) Seeing into the invisible is a key to victorious praying – discerning spiritual issues from God’s perspective rather than man’s, seeing the Adversary’s attack plan, and perceiving God’s angelic strike force.
Ephesians 6:10-20. “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.”
Jeremiah 33:3 “Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.”
Ok…So that encouraged us to the core! Those scriptures leaped off the page to me as I read them out loud to Kevin.
Wednesday night, we had MIRACLE #10 – a dear friend of ours DROVE 12 hours to see us, encourage us and pray over us. He brought goodies and more clothes from home. My fresh blueberries and blackberries from my garden along with a smoked boston butt and peanut butter cookies was among the lute that they carried all those miles. It was a short visit, but packed with Powerful Truth from Jesus. I just adore you JW and how God speaks through you!
This friend interpreted scripture for us…”God never puts more in your wagon than He is willing to tow.”
We have to let Him do the towing these days.
We voiced this same message of the story in 2 King’s to our friends that I am sharing with you today. They saw it too. Which is how God does things…He confirms those things which He plants in our Spirits.
Several years ago, I taught a study on Prophecy that God had poured into me years ago. I am going out on a limb to share this with you, but I think there is someone out there that needs to be encouraged that God still moves in these ways.
Kevin and I believe in Prophecy… even for today. Prophecy is something that is so misconstrued in the Body. Prophecy is something that God brings to you in various ways, visions, promptings, dreams, and even prayers. It will always line up with the Word of God. It will also confirm something that the Lord has already spoken to you.
We have to admit this is not new to us either. We could tell stories all day long of how God used Words from the Lord, visions, and even dreams with us ten years ago when I became sick.
We are continuing to see these Prophetic words in this new invisible realm we are walking in.
{Stay with me.}
There are people all around us that are craving to see those that walk with Jesus be transparent. So, I am being transparent.
This morning, a woman who I have only known for one year, but KNEW in my Spirit that there was something Supernatural about her, sent me a message. Now, I don’t know this woman on a deep personal level. So everything she has shared can only. come. from. God. It is also not the first time that God has used her in the last 13 days. It is just all God, my friends. She is willing to be radical, and obedient to be used for Christ.
I want to share it with you because I feel God wants me to…it is just that obedience thing again. I am not sharing this to puff her up or us up. Only bring Glory to our God that revealed it.
“Just wanted to share what I hear in the spirit this morning …I think you already know that this is a battle in the spirit…A season of elevation in the Kingdom…This is part of the process for not the next level, but the next dimension and there is a difference … You are currently in a time of rediscovery and recovery of things that have been lost to you, things that you once possessed either mentally, emotionally, physically or spiritually. You will have a sense of freedom that is beyond words to describe and will come from the very core of your being. This is a subtle work of My Spirit, says the Lord. Luke 4:18-19 “The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.”… It is time my sweet friend to not only walk in your calling but to DO the things that God has shown you for years. That which He has started in you, He will complete it. Keep your eyes on Him no matter what!!!!”
This is the way my God rolls. Nothing fancy. Just REAL. It resonated deep within my heart as I read it. I will have to admit, that I don’t understand everything about what God is revealing to me through this. But I have walked with Him long enough to know…He is patient with me as I walk this out trusting Him for the results.
I hope this brings encouragement to someone out there, I have certainly put it out there. But more than anything, my prayer is that a greater passion for the Body will rise up to continue to walk in the deeper things of God. Like I have said, God has shown us that this is not just our battle. Many are out there needing to see the Face of God and hear His voice like the very breath on their lips.
Prayer Requests:
* We head to have our one time weekly treatment Friday at 10am. Pray for short wait times and easy IV insertion.
* Weekends are hard being away from family. Pray for strength and Joy.
* Pray for perseverance for our families. Grace to cover all their thoughts as they also process all of this.
* Praise to Jesus for all the revelations and encouragements He has sent our way! We are so blessed!
* Praise for my friend offering up her home to us till our apartment comes available later in the weekend.
Of course, you know I am going to post a song…{I really think I missed my calling}…I imagine being on stage singing this song with them…just with a wild heart abandoned to God! All fibers of my being come to the surface with these songs from Passion conference 2012. Which is wild, because I took 3 days this past January to just sit and listen online to this whole conference. It radically changed me.
Love and blessings being sent from the big state of TEXAS!
Hi Amy and Kevin- praying for you all this morning and this weekend. Mom and Dad (aka Liz and Jim) said that Connie and Freddie stopped by with your girls earlier this week, and Mom told me how sweet and fun your girls are (she had brownies and ice cream waiting for them too) :).
Amy, this is awesome! Thank you for being transparent today. I am one who was greatly blessed by your words today and reminded of how powerful our God is!
Good morning Amy and Kevin,
I have been following your posts as much as possible and this morning I had some catching up to do. I read yesterday’s post and went back and pulled up the picture of Kevin and Jamie and layed hands on my computer screen to Kevin and prayed for him this morning. I prayed that God would wrap his loving arms around Kevin’s body and cleanse him from all cancer. I truly believe with all my heart that God has great things planned for you all in the days beyond this battle that you all are facing right now. After praying, I continued to read today’s post, and realized that what I had just said in my prayer (great things after this battle), is what I felt the scripture in Luke is saying. God wants you all proclaiming His Word and to be a testimony for Him! You are already doing so, to so many through this blog and the people that are crossing your paths. God may be and is already, leading you all into ministry for Him after this is over. What a blessing you all have been to me (allowing me to read this blog), and I’m not the one sick. Continue to hold tight with all your might to God and He will carry you through this battle for His glory!
My sweet new friend in Jesus, I am the one that was to receive your message. You are so on target and completely right in that we, His servants, are to respond when God lays on our heart a task for others to receive (no matter how simple or detailed) we shoud act RADICALLY and IMMEDIATELY! The voice of God speaks to me ‘so often’ and I respond to His calling for others’ messages. I know, that I know, that I know that I have been prophetically ordained to comfort others and heed His call to do so. Yet I, whom was been in the midst of God fearing friends (over a year ago) in a church service that fed so very many and myself,…have not headed the prophetic word spoken to me. My friend gave me VERY specific details of what I was supposed to do and the path to take in doing so. I believe the adversary has tried to have his way with me because of my disobedience. I love Jesus with ever fiber of my being and have yearned for guidance in serving Him and following His call…then BOOM…out of no where I got sick. This journey has been as if time stopped for me and I ignored my prophetic message…I yielded, then stopped all together. So hipocritical! Yet, along that broken road others’ lives have been changed. I know I have to heed His calling on my life, once again. before I am healed.
By obeying with a servant’s heart, you have reminded me of the urgency of His call on my life and that IT IS TIME. You were obedient and God did the rest. Thank you for your ministry and for reminding me that even in the middle of my storm, God can step out on the front of my vessel and call to the winds of trouble that have tossed and tumbled me, and utter peace be still. God never promised me EASY…but, He did promise me that if I trust Him and have faith in Him (that can walk on water) that He would carry me through life’s storms…ALL OF THEM!
This section was for me…
“Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
From God’s lips to your ears…it sailed on to my heart and stayed there for a while. Therefore, I was in turn beckoned to let you know the fruit of your faithfullness. A weary sailor has found her lighthouse was again and I thank you with all of my heart!!!! I am going to pick up that shield of faith and press forward for Jesus!
When Keith is healed and you are back home, I will share the prophesy with you in person.
From the heart and in His Undying Love,
K.P.
I love your obedience! Thank you!
Love you sister!

Amy,
I am so blessed by your hunger and steadfastness! God has used your blog to encourage me, remind me and motivate me to seek Him again with all of me. I was drawn to a book that I had begun reading many years ago by Joy Dawson entitled Forever Ruined for the Ordinary The Adventure of Obeying God’s Voice. I was introduced to her book Intimate Friendship with God by Glynn Sheppard at a Bible Study at Joyce Paine’s back in the 80’s and it revolutionized my walk with God. While I was looking on my kindle for other books by her, I came across one she wrote on healing, Some of the Ways of God in Healing and down loaded a sample. Seeing the book reminded me of Kevin’s conversation with the man in the airport terminal and I felt God telling me to bring this book to your attention.
I believe God is up to some amazing things in and through you and Kevin and this is all for His glory! Thank you for sharing, being transparent, and allowing God to so freely flow through you. I continue to lift you, Kevin and your family up and pray that He gives you eyes to see and ears to hear from His perspective all the wonders that He has in store for you in every dimension! We serve an incredible unlimited God!
Nan Dame
Oh, check out Isaiah 48:6-11, read it this morning in The Message, Wow!
Thank you so much for your encouragement! I will certainly look into these books! Thank you for your prayers! How awesome of a God we serve!
Blessings,
AK
Dear Kevin and Amy:
One of my closest friends gave me he Spirit Filled Bible a few years ago and I have not read it at my peril. The Holy Spirit is active and powerful and I rarely appropriate that power. You guys are an encouragment to me as you embolden me in my faith. We see your faith walk every time you share…and it is a blessing for me to witness it…Keep up the wonderful postings and you give great hope to others even when you are going through not so easy times.
.I have to teach a Sunday School class tomorrow and I will ask the Holy Spirit to empower me and the message.
Always praying for you…..Erik.
