Grown Up Camouflage

Today I had a wonderful phone call from a dear friend that I haven’t spoken with in about 3-4 weeks.

I treasure our friendship because we can be REAL with each other…immediately! We haven’t caught up in weeks but there is still loads of circumstances filling our wagon’s that we can jump into and share the rawness of our hearts without wasting a moment.

She needs my prayers. I need hers.

We can skip past the “How are ya’ll doing?, How are the kids? How is work? What neat recipe have you cooked lately? Read any good books lately?”

Nope, it’s just easy to share the real stuff! For each of us to be who we are because we aren’t pretending to be something else…i.e. camouflaging the real things in life.

I love that about our friendship.

I wanted to share with you today about a blog that I actually just got this morning and it so encouraged me to be real with those that I trust. Those people who you truly trust are treasures and gifts from God.

Gypsy Mama’s blog is one that I have been reading for about 6 months and have been very blessed by her writings. I do hope you will take the time to hop over and read THIS POST today.

May we all have moments when take off the grown up camouflage and begin to be real with others…we never know how that may help them get rid of their camouflage too.

Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
~ John 8:31-32.

Blessings!
