Diving in means taking risks, trusting God whole heartedly and trusting the process of the dream.
I have never been a risk taker…like at all…my whole life!
I can remember when I was little and we would go to the pool. I would stand and watch in awe at those kids that were brave enough to jump off the high board in the diving board pool. How could they do that? I got butterflies in my stomach just watching them, I could only imagine what my nerves would look like if I ever did that!
One day…My sister had talked me into going to the top of the diving board ladder with her. I don’t have the first clue what I thought I was going to do when I got up there myself?!
*smile*
“Excuse me…I have now helped my super brave sister jump off this incredibly high board, but I think I will head down the steps now.”
You can see the scene now. The life guard is shouting at me and pointing me out to everyone…“Just Jump!”
Oh…my nerves just toss and tumble at thinking about that day!
Well, God has been leading me to another place that is almost like that high diving board. It is a dream of sharing more with others about how incredible our God is and how He still works in supernatural ways with us still today.
When I went to college I majored in Public Relations and Public Speaking…go figure – I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Now, I can see where God had a plan all along. Even though I went on and got my Master’s in Speech Language Pathology, I still to this day use everything I learned in my Bachelor’s in so many ways. Funny how God has a plan in everything! We just think we are making all the decisions.
In January of this year, I started feeling a stirring of the Holy Spirit that He wanted me to begin branching out to share this story of His amazing miracles that He continues to do in mine and Kevin’s lives.
That same week, I got an email from a friend, who I had met 3 years ago, that God was calling her and a friend to begin a women’s ministry group in their town about 45 miles away. They had heard of so many women that had stories just like mine where God continues to blow our socks off with His amazing ways and that there were others that needed to hear these testimonies. They extended the invitation to me to come and share with them.
I immediately responded with “Absolutely!” Then thought about all the promptings that God had been doing with me in giving me the desire to reach out to others in this way. There are no coincidences you guys! It is just God.
So I am asking for huge favors to all those that come to this special place called Strong Tower to be in prayer for me on Thursday evening as I share the incredible things that God has showered in my life. The natural and the supernatural are all apart of it.
I know God goes before me and will shower me with His wisdom and grace as I share about the incredible love that He has had for me and my family in walking through so much. I just want others to see Jesus through everything I say. My life would not be the same without Him. He is very real. Very. Very. Real.
This is a verse I keep hearing over and over…I think God is sending me a message about my diving into the dream that He has put into my heart.
Zephaniah 3:17 “For the Lord your God is living among you.
He is a mighty savior.
He will take delight in you with gladness.
With his love, he will calm all your fears.
He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”

Our God is indeed awesome and amazing, and like you said, He just let’s us think we are making decisions because it’s really all about Him and His wonderful love for us.
