“I Am” – The God Who Heals!

My cross that my beautiful friend, Thara, made for us.

Monday was a whirlwind! Today has been much calmer. I kept my mind of focused on Praising God and His Promises.
I can’t help but share the Jesus Calling that washed over me Monday morning.

Jesus Calling by Sarah Young – August 20th
I am God who heals. I heal broken bodies, broken minds, broken hearts broken lives, and broken relationships. My very Presence has immense healing powers. You cannot live close to Me without experiencing some degree of healing. However, it is also true that you have not because you ask not. You receive the healing that flows naturally from My Presence, whether you seek it or not. But there is more–much more–available to those who ask.

The first step in receiving healing is to live ever so close to Me. The benefits of this practice are too numerous to list. As you grow more and more intimate with Me, I reveal My will to you more directly. When the time is right, I prompt you to ask for healing of some brokenness in you or in another person. The healing may be instantaneous, or it may be a process. That is up to Me. Your part is to trust Me fully and to thank Me for the restoration that has begun.

I rarely heal all the brokenness in a person’s life. Even My servant Paul was told, “My grace is sufficient for you,” when he sought healing for the thorn in his flesh. Nonetheless, much healing is available to those whose lives are intimately interwoven with Mine. Ask, and you will receive.

After a much long day of blood work, pulmonary test and meeting with the doctor, I am thrilled to report our God news!

{drumroll please!!!}. Kevin’s AFP number in the beginning was 21,000, then they went to 900, then before the 3rd treatment they were a 16.8.

Today we have an AFP # of a 5.6!!!! Normal is 5! Praise Jesus!

This will be our last round of chemo treatment!!!

Our 2 biggest praises is that Kevin will not be having to have the Nupogen shots again this next round! His white blood cell counts are great! Those shots kicked his tail though. It would have to be the worst side effects he have had throughout this journey.

Once again, when we pray specifically, we see specifically how God answers! They installed a pic line that they will use to get all chemo, blood work and meds thru. This will give his veins in his arms a much-needed break! He will keep the pic line till after the surgery. This will be one of the biggest blessings this round. I am praying it removes any anxiety that will be around all those sticks.

We had some great God moments yesterday along our way. At one time earlier during this journey, I had someone relay a message from God that said, “He would provide the moments for us to share with others”… yesterday, we saw them all over the place!

We hooked up with a friend from about 8 years ago that sat in our basement among many strong believers, praying for God to heal her of cancer. Probably, one of the most memorable prayer times in my life. This was such a great joy hearing how God has ministered to her and her family in such powerful proportions in recent years! They live in Houston, but we have had a hard time connecting with schedules and families. So glad it happened yesterday!

Another God moment, was when came out of our appointment with our doctor and were feeling so blessed beyond belief and ran into a Dad and his son that he was pushing in the stroller. He looked to be about 4-5 years old with no hair and he had blankets wrapped around him. His Dad was pushing a IV pole with multiple bags of medicine on it.

This picture overwhelmed us! We both immediately broke. As we walked through the corridor, we stopped and asked if we could pray for them. So through tears and even arms reached out…we beckoned the Throne of the Living God for healing, peace and joy from Jesus to fill this family.

The dad smiled and the little boy said thank you.

A total Jesus moment. We cried all the way to the admissions office.

Just broken.

“The first step in receiving healing is to live ever so close to Me. The benefits of this practice are too numerous to list.”

Prayer Requests:
* Calm nerves as we go into the rest of the week. Peaceful moments of learning, reflecting and continuing to see God’s healing hand in all of this.
* No side effects to the meds.
* Sleep filled nights for both of us.
* Our families (In Virginia and Valdosta)

Today I listened to a song that ushered me to the feet of Jesus! I hope you will be blessed by it and realize that we as believers are able to overcome because of what Jesus Overcame at the Cross!

Thank you Jesus! By your stripes, we are healed! We give you the Glory!
