God’s Timing

For the last couple of months I have been involved in a Bible study that has been so timely in my life.

I was telling my husband the other day, God’s timing is something I am learning not to argue with. He LITERALLY knows what He is doing. He always has in my life, and always will. I have learning pouting and screaming because of circumstances does not solve anything…going to Jesus who already knows is where my reaction needs to be.

The study I am doing is called “Lies Women Believe” by Nancy Leigh DeMoss. Seriously…every woman should be required to read it! That is a serious statement but one I have come to believe strongly.

It has made me more aware of what our culture deceptively sways us to believe as women. The lies that the enemy so crafts that we don’t realize that we have fallen for hook…line… and sinker!

The best part is this study is so filled with the Word of God that it encourages me at my foundation and that is what I want my foundation to be filled with …Holy Spirit inspired scriptures!

Today I wanted to share some of them with you. I actually had my 13-year-old type these out the other night because she wanted to stay up a little later…she doesn’t care what she is doing as long as she doesn’t have to go to bed. {I have become creative as to the things I ask her to do for me! *grin* }

We are actually taking each of these scriptures this weekend and cutting them out and taping them onto “pretty cool paper” and posting them in key places in our house. In case you didn’t know, I am filled with a house full of women! 3 daughters that can also become entangled in the lies of the world too.

Burns me up how young the enemy starts so young with our children!

Here are my weapons for this week! I hope they encourage you! Feel free to copy and paste and use for yourself! Just be sure to find the pretty paper – it makes it so much more fun!

God’s Word promises, “ I am with you always” (Matthew 28:20). Therefore, we don’t have to be overcome by loneliness.

God’s Word promises, “ My God will meet all your needs” (Philippians 4:19). Therefore, we don’t have to stay awake at night worrying about how the mortgage will get paid.

God’s Word promises, “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken” (Isaiah 54:10). Therefore, we don’t have to live in dread of an uncertain future.

God’s Word says, “Do not be afraid” (John 14:27). That means we don’t have to give in to fear, regardless of our circumstances.

God’s Word says, “Don’t worry about anything” (Philippians 4:6 TLB). That means that even in the midst of stressful circumstances, we don’t have to be anxious.

God’s Word says, “Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18). That means we can choose to be thankful, even when everything around us seems to be falling apart.

God’s Word says, “Love your enemies” (Matthew 5:44). That means, by the power of the Spirit, we can choose to love anyone no matter how greatly they have wronged us.

God’s Word says, “If you hold anything against anyone, forgive him’ (Mark 11:25). That means there is no one we cannot choose to forgive, no matter how deeply they may have hurt us or sinned against us.

Colossians 3:1-2
“Since, then, you have been raised with Christ. Set you hearts on things above where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.”

2 Corinthians 10:5b
“We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”

Isaiah 26:3
“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!.”

Philippians 4:4, 6-9
“The Peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus and the God of Peace will be with you.”
